7 Super Spots to Celebrate Free Comic Book Day in Asheville

Celebrate Free Comic Book Day in Asheville, NC

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or are brand new to comics, there’s a reason to celebrate this weekend. The first Saturday of May is Free Comic Book Day, an unofficial holiday that’s officially awesome!

Most local comic book shops celebrate Free Comic Book Day—some with discounts, some with parties, and all with free comics! Celebrate by checking out your local comic book store, supporting a local business, and finding a fun comic book, t-shirt, or toy. We challenge you to visit them all!

Blue Ridge Comics

Blue Ridge Comics offers comics, collectibles, cards, figures, and much more from a brick-and-mortar store within Smiley’s Flea Market in Fletcher, just south of Asheville. Visit on weekends for a great selection at great prices. But beware—the “Internet Famous Tardis” is not an entrance.
